Title IX: Non-discrimination on the basis of sex
                Board of Education Policy

The Brooklyn Public Schools is committed to a policy of equal access and does not discriminate in any employment practice, education program, or educational activity on the basis of race, color, religious creed, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability (including, but not limited to, intellectual disability, past or present history of mental disorder, physical disability or learning disability), genetic information, or any other basis prohibited by Connecticut state and/or federal nondiscrimination laws. Any student (or parent of a student on behalf of the student) or staff member who believes that he or she has been the victim of sexual discrimination by an employee, individual under contract, volunteer or student of the Board of Education is encouraged to promptly report such a complaint to:
