A Message From The Principal

To All of Our Website Guests,

Greetings from Brooklyn Elementary School and welcome to our B.E.S. website! Special thanks to our website web master, Ms. Sara Guimont for organizing and making sure our school website is up and running. Great job Ms. Guimont!

What a warm welcome I have received in Brooklyn! It has been so heartwarming and very much appreciated. Thanks to all students, staff, parents, and community members for your special greetings and support.

We have been very busy with the beginning of our 2007-2008 school year, as we “lifted off” with our school theme “Soaring to Success at B.E.S.” And we are soaring! You have probably seen our hot air balloons in our school and in our classrooms! Everybody is getting into the spirit of how exciting learning can be for all of our students!

Many exciting events have been happening here at our school! We have a new Student Council, consisting of 8 students, 2 students were selected by their teachers from each grade 4 classroom. Our Student Council has been very busy with organizing our “Caring for Others” projects—Thanksgiving Baskets and Holiday Money Jar---to assist families that need extra help during the holidays.

We also have established our very first W.B.E.S. T.V. station! The Student Council broadcasts our morning exercises and our general announcements on our W.B.E.S. station every morning. The broadcast is seen in every classroom throughout the school. It is so great having our entire school view and participate in our opening exercises together everyday. It is very exciting! We will soon have some pictures of our W.B.E.S. station on our website! Casey, our special dog friend, made his first appearance on W.B.E.S. too! He loves to see everyone here at B.E.S. Watch for the special “Casey's Corner” coming up on our website!
