Daniel Putnam Tyler

Daniel Putnam Tyler was born in Norwich in July 1798, and died in Brooklyn on November 6th, 1875. He was the son of Pascal Paoli Tyler and Elizabeth Baker Tyler. Daniel was Israel Putnam's great grandson. Daniel Putnam Tyler used to be a clerk of the superior and county courts in Windham County for 15 years, and county judge for 1 year.

Daniel Tyler owned a law office on route 169 and it is now opened to the public. In 1838 he represented Brooklyn in the Connecticut General Assembly. Daniel Tyler practiced law around Windham County from 1822 until he died. After working in Arkansas he went back to Brooklyn and worked in his law office until he died in 1875. Daniel married Elizabeth Malbone.
