Meet Brooke, the Brooklyn Bear!

Hi, I'm Brooke Bear. I am the mascot of the Second Grade of Brooklyn Elementary School in Brooklyn, Connecticut. The girls and boys picked me for their mascot because the brown bear is the mascot of Brooklyn Elementary School.

Brooklyn is a lovely little town in the northeastern part of the state of Connecticut. Brooklyn is an historic town with lovely old homes and churches. It is a rural community with several farms quite near our school. It even has a big agricultural fair every year. I really like my home.

But, it has been a very long, snowy winter and I really feel like doing something very different - like maybe take a trip to a place I have never been to before. So, the Second Graders suggested I should go to a country called Wales. I heard of someone in Wales who wanted to come to the United States of America. His name is Dewi Dragon from South Wales. So, I suggested we change homes for a few weeks. And that is just what we did!
