Greetings from the Director of Special Education

August 13, 2007

Dear Parents,

Most of you will remember me as the principal of the Brooklyn Elementary School.  Some of you will remember me as the Coordinator of Special Services prior to the time that I became principal.

All of you will know, now, that I have resigned as principal of the elementary school to become the Director of Student Services which includes supervision of all special education services and administrator of the pre-school readiness program.

I am writing to welcome you and your children to the new school year.  I wish you to know that as a community of parents with common interests, your school and your staff look forward to working with you to further the educational development of your children.

During the school year we will be meeting in planned programs designed to provide appropriate services to your special needs youngsters.  There may be times, however, when it will be equally as important to just meet and chat about other matters of concern to you as they relate to your child(ren).  When you feel such a need, make a call and we’ll set a time to meet.

Meanwhile, the summer is beginning to ebb and the opening of school is on the threshold.  Enjoy what remains of the warm weather and we’ll see you on August 30th.

Sincerely,

Peggy Muscente
Director, Student Services
